Austin Convocation Acolyte Festival (ACAF)
The Austin Convocation Acolyte Festival, hosted by All Saints’ Episcopal Church, brings together acolytes from the parishes in the Austin Convocation for a day to celebrate the ministry of acolytes, to learn and enhance acolyting skills, to build community among Austin acolytes, and to have fun.

Who should attend the Festival
Acolytes, Acolyte directors, parents of acolytes, anyone interested in the ministry of acolytes

When is the Festival
The Festival is typically held on the last Saturday of February each year.

Where is the Festival
The Festival is held at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, Austin, Texas

What happens at the Festival

        ·  Festival Service:  A special service to bless the ministry of acolytes featuring a procession of all participating acolytes with their banners, flags, and holy hardware.

        ·  Workshops:  Various topics:  training for serving at the altar, work of the thurifer, Acolyte Jeopardy, BCP Scavenger Hunt, and Episcopal life at college.  Workshops are geared to specific age groups.

        ·  Acolyte Olympics:  Games that draw on acolyting skills and agility.
Winning parish receives the ACAF Acolyte Olympic Lavabo Bowl to take home to their parish.
