Saints on Call
Saints On Call is a lay pastoral care ministry. Co-chairs Joyce Edwinson and Milton Bell receive the care needs and requests for practical assistance from The Rev. Mike Adams or from All Saints’ parishioners. Eight captains coordinate the care on a rotating weekly basis, recruiting caregivers from a list of volunteers and from the parish at large according to need, location, and availability.
Saints On Call provides the following assistance:
Food:
For bereaved individuals or families
For parishioners recovering from serious illness, surgery, or childbirth (usually meals for several days)
Transportation:
Rides to and from church for elderly and/or disabled parishioners
Rides to and from medical appointments for parishioners
Visits and phone calls:
To hospitalized, sick and/or homebound parishioners
Cards:
Get-well, sympathy, & birthday cards, and monthly notes to parishioners.
