Sr. Warden's June Report
To the All Saints’ Parish,
I’d like to present a brief update on where we stand on some of the issues of concern to our congregation. First, our Interim Rector search is moving full steam ahead. We have an exciting slate of candidates presented to us by the Diocese, all of whom have been contacted and have expressed interest in the position. Our search committee is working with the candidates to move through the selection process in a way that is both expeditious and respectful of the time and commitments of everyone involved.
The Interim Rector will, as part of their duties, help us in the transition between Father Mike’s service and the selection of a new Rector. Given the nature of the relationship between Rector and Parish, a careful and deliberate search is vital to help insure the best fit between Rector and Congregation. The search for a new Rector will be most fruitful when the parish as a whole is well-represented and involved in the process. I have been very encouraged with the energy and excitement already expressed as we look to this process.
The vestry will be providing frequent and regular communication every step along the way - even when the report is that there is nothing new to report.
