A Story from Loaves & Fishes
Thanks to your stewardship pledges and steadfast generosity, the Loaves & Fishes Ministry continues in strength! This
story comes from one of our guests a few weeks ago.
- One of our guests explained that as a child she was diagnosed with Lupus. Her father read to her from the Book of Job and she credited those readings for her belief that God would never give her more than she could handle. After she miscarried, she was told that she would never conceive again. When she did become pregnant again, she was told the baby most likely would have cerebral palsy; her baby girl was born healthy. This lady’s health has continued to deteriorate and she is now on dialysis, but she has absolute faith in God’s love and care which she attributes to those readings from Job when she was a youngster. It’s very moving to hear a testimony of such faith from someone who has had a lifetime of ill health and yet remains grateful for all God’s care. Her strength comes from her conviction that she is truly loved by God so she has nothing to fear.
